I Love Long Weekends! Going back to work....not so much!

Hey, y'all!! Happy Tuesday. Totally feels like a Monday to me since I was off yesterday though. But, surprisingly, the day wasn't too bad. It was relatively quiet at work, which (in the banking world especially) after a holiday isn't really that common. So I was thankful for that!!

I had a really great weekend though. Sabbath was really nice. We had a different kind of service where we did lots of praying and people gave testimonies. I love days where testimonies are included. Testimonies are honestly one of my favorite parts about being a Christian! At the end of the day, anyone can dispute anything about what they believe exists....BUT they can't take away your testimony and what your story says about what God is capable of and what He does!!

 
 
 
Sunday was also a really nice day! Total day of relaxation. I got up in the morning and got a good run in...
 
 
 
Then we hung out all day by the pool with our friends. Until the storm rolled in and it rained us out. Haha! So we left at that point and headed home. But we did make a pit stop by Movie Stop and got a bunch of old, classic movies! We ended up having a movie marathon on Sunday night and it was super fun!! I ate too many jelly beans....but it was so worth it. However, I did pack a sandwich and fruit for the pool instead of eating the pizza that I knew would be there. So score one for me! Haha.
 
 
 
 
Monday morning got up early and got in some Turbofire and then had a nice breakfast with two of my favorite ladies. That's something that pretty much never happens, so it was nice to just get together and chat for a couple of hours over some good food. I'm so thankful for the friends that I've made here in Tampa!! I ran a couple of errands and then I came home and finished the day out with some more movie marathons. It really was a nice weekend...3-day ones are seriously the best!!
 
 
Today after work I went and fixed my hair. Nothing was actually wrong with it. I got it done a couple of weeks ago and I had a particular vision in mind and it didn't quite come out exactly as I had envisioned. So my hairdresser asked me to come back so that she could fix it. She's pretty awesome! So now I have new hairs!!
 

 
 
I'm going to go finish up the evening listening to the thunder and watching the lightening flash... I love Tampa!!!

I have a confession.....

Ok, I have a complete confession to make.....

I AM HUMAN!

Whew....glad I got that off of my chest! Haha!

What I mean by that is that I am a slacker at times. I lose my sense of discipline at times. I have one to many snacks at times. I wish I had an excuse for the last 2-3 weeks, but I don't.

I've still been getting in my daily workouts and drinking my Shakeology, but I've been just not caring about what I put into my body. I honestly think it's stress at work that's done it because it's not even thar I'm craving stuff or hungry; I'm just eating it. And I don't seem to have the ability to say no to anything when I'm out and about either. It's like my will power has gone completely out the window this past few weeks.



I say all that to say this: even coaches have moments of nutrition failure. Even coaches fall off the healthy eating bandwagon. Even coaches forget what self-control means. Lol. Have I gained anything? Honestly, no I haven't. But I also haven't seen any progress AND I've noticed that my body is a bit more fluffy than I'd like it. Haha

So today is my recommitment! And I'm sharing it with all of you so that I am held accountable. I start Round 2 of Insanity Max 30 in two weeks and I also get Insanity certified in 13 days! Honestly, I need to get some good nutrition flowing through my body before these things happen so that I can feel normal and energetic going into them. So no more, "I can have this treat even though I've already had three treats today." No more, "It doesn't matter how big this portion is." No more of that crap!



This isn't a diet, it's a lifestyle. And its perfectly fine to allow treats in your life. Even one small treat/day won't KILL you or completely derail you... But this constant treating of myself will stop today! Time to refocus! Today is the day!

Sunday Recap & A New Shakeology Treat

The weekend is quickly drawing to a close.... It goes by so fast!!

But it's been a very nice Sunday! Got in a good workout this morning, got my shopping done, went and had lunch with my hubby, and even got to settle down and relax for a bit and watch a movie.

I had a successful trip to Trader Joe's and left with much more than what I intended to leave with. Which always seems to happen there. I love that store. Such fun, unique finds all the time. I have some fun dinner ideas for the week while my in-laws are here. Here are some of my finds today:



The movie we watched this afternoon was Cheaper By the Dozen. I love that movie. It was the first time my husband had seen it. He enjoyed it. I like the Sundays that aren't always jam-packed with stuff so that I can actually relax a bit and have some time to just veg and relax.



After the movie I started taking care of the last minute things around the house in preparation of my in-laws arriving on Wednesday. I'm looking forward to having them here for a week. It's been a couple of years since I've seen my mother-in-law, so I'm excited to hang out with her for a few days! I could only take one work day off while they're here, but we have the weekend too, so we're going to have a good time. We're currently watching the weather because it looks like some rain might be ruining our plans a bit. But the weather forecast changes every day here, so I'm praying that it will clear up by the end of the week so that we can spend some time at the beach!!

I decided tonight to use my Shakeology to make a nice, healthy frozen treat to have at the house this week! Why not get a bunch of superfoods and vitamins while also getting a yummy treat?! I love my Shakeology and I never miss a day, so why not also use it for a sweet treat!?

So I took some Almond Breeze coconut/almond milk and blended it up with some Vegan Chocolate Shakeology and then poured it into my little popsicle molds. I can't wait to try one out tomorrow evening when I get home from work!!
